Our view: Pick Dardenne, Donelon and Kennedy, too
October 11, 2007Central Louisiana voters can make a difference for themselves, their families, their community and their state, as long as they go to the polls today -- for early voting -- or on Oct. 20 for the election itself.
Key races are on the ballot, including several at the state level. Here are three, with our recommendations.
Commissioner of insurance: Jim Donelon. The commissioner's job is to help taxpayers find affordable, dependable property, auto and other insurance, protect consumers from predatory practices, and find sensible ways to bring competition to the state as a way to maintain reasonable rates for the coverage required.
